Stainless steel grades 304, 304L, and 304H are composed of elements like chromium, phosphorus, silicon, manganese, carbon, sulfur, molybdenum, and nickel. Among these, chromium, molybdenum, and nickel play key roles in enhancing the material's overall properties. As a result, these grades offer excellent yield and tensile strength, remarkable temperature resistance, and a broad elongation capacity, typically extending up to 40%. The melting point for all three grades reaches around 1400°C (2550°F), except for 304H, which has a slightly higher melting range of 2550°F to 2590°F.
