Stainless Steel Grade 304 Coil

Suppliers, Traders, Exporters and Stockists of Stainless Steel Grade 304 Coil

The Stainless Steel 304 Coil material is one of the most popular and versatile stainless steel grades. It is also known as 18/8, which is due to its chemical composition that contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. SS 304 Coil material is basically an austenitic grade that can be deep drawn.

The properties have made the 304 grade a dominant one and thus they are used in applications like sinks and kitchen tools. The AISI 304 Coil offers excellent resistance to corrosion in several environments and when they come in contact with different types of corrosive media. However, it is to be noted that pitting and crevice corrosion can occur in chloride environments with the SS 304 products. Also, stress corrosion cracking can occur in the product above the temperature of 60 degrees C.

SUS 304 Coil offers good resistance to oxidation, especially in intermittent services up to the temperature of 870 degrees C, and for continuous service, it is 925 degrees C. However, for the continuous services, the usage at 425-820 degrees C temperature is not recommended. The DIN 1.4301 Coil can also retain aqueous corrosion resistance. When it comes to the fabrication of the UNS S30400 Coil material, proper precautions are needed to be taken. This helps to avoid any cross contamination by easily corroded metals which might discolor the fabricated product's surface.

ASTM A240 304 No.1 Stainless steel coil can also be easily work hardened. Herein the fabrication method involves cold working, which might also require an intermediate annealing stage. This helps to alleviate work hardening and also resists tearing/cracking. Also, the hot working procedure for this one should occur only after uniform heating to 1149-1260 degrees C. The vast ASTM A240 304 Stainless Steel Coil Stock also possesses good machinability and they cannot be hardened by heat treatment. Fusion welding performance on this material, with or without filler materials, can be performed excellently.

The 304 ss products come in different shapes, sizes, dimensions, and finishes. The BA Finish Stainless Steel 304 Coil has a very bright and reflective surface which has an aesthetic appeal. The 2B Finish 304 Grade Stainless Steel Coil however improves the corrosion resisting capabilities of the coil.

Stainless steel coil 304 has many features, such as excellent yield strength, elongation, elasticity, thermal conductivity, and power to work in cold conditions. We conduct a test of our products like the positive material test, chemical test, pitting resistant test, mechanical test, micro test, flattening test, and many more. These tests and production processes are under the supervision of our Experienced Professional teams. We maintain stocks to fill various at a time without any delay in delivery. ARK Stainless offers efficient and error-free stainless steel 304 coil in india.

What is the difference between 321 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel Sheets?

The difference between 321 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel sheets lies mainly in the composition, which significantly affects its properties. Both 321 and 304 are austenitic grades of stainless steel; that is to say, they contain high levels of nickel and chromium–but 321 contains a higher amount at 17-20% nickel, while grade 304 only has 8-10.5%. At first glance, this may not seem like a big difference, but it does affect the material in several ways. Comparing 321 vs. 304 stainless steel sheets, there are some key points one should consider: Their corrosion resistance is almost identical; however, the formation of chlorides enhances corrosion risks when using grade 321; It can handle extremes of hotter temps without losing structural integrity; it offers greater yield/strength under applied stress conditions; And lastly, welders need special precautions when welding thicker gauge sections due cooling rate being faster than that found on mild steel grades.

What are the properties of SS 304 plates?

SS 304 is an alloy of iron and chromium that has become one of the most popular alloys used in industrial applications. It contains a minimum of 18% chromium, 8% nickel, and a maximum of 0.08% carbon by weight. This makes it incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant without sacrificing formability or machinability. SS 304 sheets have great mechanical properties, including tensile strength, yield strength, elongation (stretch before break), hardness (Brinell scale), as well as excellent abrasion resistance due to their high levels of chromium and low carbon content. Its high-temperature resistance can be important for certain processes where the material could reach 800°C or higher temperatures during operation. In addition to its strength and durability, SS 304 sheet has impressive aesthetics, which make it suitable for architectural projects such as railings, trim pieces like handles or cabinet pulls, etc., as well as interior design purposes such as countertops, sinks/basins, etc.

We Export Stainless Steel 304 sheet and plate to United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Russia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Egypt, Qatar, Iran, Kuwait, Taiwan, Oman, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Pakistan, Malaysia.
