These bars exhibit exceptional creep, tensile, and stress-rupture strength at elevated temperatures. The high carbon content in Alloy 316 can lead to sensitization, which we mitigate through heat treatment, allowing the titanium to react with carbon and form titanium carbides, thus reducing susceptibility to intergranular rigidity. This stabilization process ensures that the alloy can withstand extended periods at elevated temperatures without compromising its attrition endurance, giving 316Ti equivalent endurance to the low carbon version, 316L.
