Martensite transformation can be performed on the UNS S20200 Round Bar, for which the material ss 202 needs to be soaked at 1038 degrees C for around 30 minutes and the same is needed to be cooled down below the temperature of 16 degrees C.
The SS 202 round bar comes with high weldability and they can be welded using standard procedures. It is recommended to use AWS E/ER630 as the filler metal. It can be forged by pre-soaking the material at 1177 degrees C for an hour. However, forging below the temperature of 1010 degrees C is not at all advisable.

It uses the cold drawing technique in a cold reduction mill. The same procedure is employed while manufacturing the SS 202 Bright bar.
